A Parent Education Program
Our family education program is designed with our parents in mind. We think of it as their passport into the world of Montessori. It is our hope that as parents participate in the various sessions they will come away with an enhanced understanding of what their child will be experiencing as he/she moves through and completes the full cycle of the Montessori Journey. Our program includes curriculum presentations, speakers, publications that focus on Montessori educational principles, parenting skills and child development. We also offer a variety of informational meetings that are relevant to a specific group of parents; for example kindergarten orientation, moving up toddlers, summer camp, etc.
We welcome all our parents and prospective parents to come and learn more about Montessori and Alta Vista.
Childcare is available for some, but not all parent education sessions.
To attend childcare the child must be an Alta Vista student. A reservation must be made in advance at the front desk; there is no fee for this childcare.
