Getting Involved
Our students are educated in an environment that values helpfulness, and they are given daily opportunities to aid their peers at school and to contribute to the wider society as well. Primary students do service work outside their classroom throughout the year. These experiences shape them, and leave them ready, willing, and able to contribute to the society through a lifetime of leadership and service.
We ask Alta Vista parents to engage in this same lesson. Through your gifts of time, talent, and resources, you show your meaningful support of this school and the work we do. Volunteer opportunities are many, and are listed on the Room Parents page.
Support of Alta Vista's fund-raising effort is equally important. It is a long-term financial goal of the school to fully cover basic operating expenses through tuition and fee payments. Our fund-raising is geared primarily towards classroom needs and it makes up the difference between covering basic core classroom activities and a full range of enrichment and advanced type of activities.
Other ways to support the school is by gifts or donations to the classroom or the school. Please ask the teacher or office for a current wish list.
